This book reports on the results of a project concerned with the historical replication of interactive key experiments in psychology with the intention of contributing to the understanding of experimentation in the social sciences and of providing interactive learning material in psychology.

Five classical psychological experiments have been reconstructed based on a new generalized synthesis model. Formal deterministic or nondeterministic models deduced from corresponding scientific theories describe the interactive virtual experiments and simulations by utilizing standardized modeling languages (like UML) or formal mathematical methods (such as Markov models).

The web-based Replicave system is a proof of concept implementation of a dynamic and interactive web-based virtual 3D museum environment, which represents a constructivist learning environment in the domain of psychology as well as a virtual museum that contributes to the preservation of digital heritage.
