What are you working on now?

I am currently working on two articles: China's Attitude Toward International Law; and the United States and International Law Under the Biden Administration. I am also working on a book manuscript entitled "International Law and the African Experience."

What do you think is world’s greatest discovery?

The world's greatest discovery is the printing press.

What great thinkers would you have loved to work with? Or with whom would you like to work in the future?

A great thinker/scholar I would have loved to work with is Professor/Judge Antonio Casesse. One I would love to work with now is Professor/Judge Dame Rosalyn Higgins.

What would you have been if you hadn't become an academic?

Had I not become an academic, I would have become an international civil servant or a diplomat.

Why do you write books?

I have always been a book lover since my childhood. I always had great admiration for authors and scholars. My field, International Law, lacks diversity, and there is a need for students and practitioners to have different perspectives on critical international law issues that reflect the diversity of the international community.

Describe your ideal publisher.

My ideal publisher is one open to new ideas and who seeks out new talent. Also, one that does not simply follow the traditional mainstream press.

What advise would you give to yourself if you were just starting out your studies?

Writing is a process, which takes time and requires a lot of patience and concentration. You must have a passion for the subject. And you are writing for others, not for yourself. Hence, must write so the audience can understand what you are trying to communicate.
